Mount Royal Golf & Country Estate
Malmesbury's Background
Known as the "Heart of the Swartland", Malmesbury was established in 1745 with its traditional heritage. A range of beautifully preserved historical buildings are still in use incorporating styles such as Gothic Revival, Victorian, Victorianised early Cape or Edwardian. Malmesbury has a formal relationship with the town of Malmesbury in Wiltshire, England, and street names within the estate share this proud association. A similar collaboration agreement exists between the German province Sachsen-Anhalt and the Swartland.
